Questions

If yours is not here, just ask on your order form or email orders@sharkeylicious.com.

What do you use instead of sugar?

No cane sugar goes into anything. Everything is sweetened with monk fruit, allulose, erythritol, and/or stevia — sometimes one, sometimes a blend. No artificial sweeteners and no artificial flavors.

What is monk fruit?

A small green melon grown in southern Asia. The sweetness comes from the fruit itself. It is one of the sweeteners we use, alongside allulose, erythritol, and stevia. There is no cane sugar in anything we make.

What is allulose?

A sweetener that occurs naturally in small amounts in figs, raisins and wheat. We use it alongside monk fruit, erythritol, and stevia. It is a large part of why the chocolate still tastes and sets like chocolate without any cane sugar in it.

How long does an order take?

Plan on at least 48 hours. Everything is made the day it goes out — nothing is frozen and nothing sits on a shelf waiting for an order. Need it sooner? Say so in the notes on your order and Brenda will do her best. For a party or a holiday, give as much notice as you can.

Where do you deliver?

Across the Kansas City metro. If you are not sure whether you are in range, send a request anyway and we will tell you straight away.

Where can I get chocolate made without cane sugar in Kansas City?

Here. Sharkeylicious is made in the Kansas City area and delivered across the metro. Everything is made the day it goes out, so nothing is frozen and nothing sits on a shelf. Delivery is free on orders of $50 or more within 30 miles of us. Under $50, delivery is $5 within 5 miles, $10 within 15 miles, or $15 within 30 miles. Farther out, we arrange a spot to meet.

How do I pay?

Not on this website. Send your request first, and once Brenda confirms what she can make and when, payment details come with your confirmation. Nothing is charged before then.

Do these contain allergens?

Yes — several items contain tree nuts. Every item on the menu lists what it contains. If you have an allergy, put it in the notes on your order and Brenda will tell you honestly whether she can make it safely for you.

Can you make something for a birthday or an event?

Yes. Trays, gift boxes and custom orders are welcome. Tell us the occasion and the date on your order request and we will put something together.

What can I bring for someone who is avoiding sugar?

This is most of what we make, and it is the reason it exists. Trays and gift boxes are put together for exactly this: a table where one person is avoiding sugar and everyone else is not, and nobody wants that to be obvious. Tell us the occasion and the date on your order and we will put something together.

Can I order for someone with a health condition?

People order these for family members who are avoiding sugar for all kinds of reasons. What we can tell you is exactly what is in them — the full ingredient list is on every item. What we cannot do is tell you whether something is right for a particular medical condition. Please check with their doctor or dietitian.
